Why the Day of Atonement still matters

Today is Yom Kippir, the Jewish Day of Atonement.  Does this holy day have any remaining significance for Christians in modern times?  Justin Holcomb answers this question.  His answer echoes the Scripture which says that “Christ died FOR our sins” (I Corinthians 15:3).  In a word Jesus dying on the Cross is about ‘substituion’ – His life for mine – His godly perfection for my sin.  Have you committed your life to Jesus and received His sacrifice for you?
