one movement, many streams?

A good discussion here about the current “streams” in American Christianity.  Owen Strachan says something I really like (around the 6:10 minute mark):

“I think it’s important to remember that a lot of what draws our attention is naturally small, so…we need a large God theology in all of our lives.”

Isn’t there a human tendency for us to think “our stream” is the best and forget there are other very good people doing good work for the sake of the Gospel in many other places?  Their church may meet in a warehouse, use different worship methods than I do and even wear jeans in the pulpit (oh no!), BUT they are reaching people with the Gospel I will probably never reach – different stream, same movement.
